As we embark on the launch of new workflows and agents, including a Q&A document chatbot designed to streamline processes within construction teams, we are seeking a Contract SOC 2 & Security Compliance Engineer to further strengthen our compliance efforts. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an industry grappling with significant inefficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure ongoing adherence to SOC 2 requirements by collaborating closely with our compliance partner to identify, address, and oversee compliance issues, safeguarding our certification.
- Take the helm in responding to customer security questionnaires, coordinating with internal teams to gather accurate data and ensuring timely submissions.
- Prepare for and effectively manage SOC 2 audits by collecting necessary evidence, liaising with auditors, and executing audit recommendations.
- Create and sustain comprehensive security-related documentation and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements within our security and compliance frameworks and proactively suggest and implement robust solutions.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in security compliance roles, with a focus on SOC 2 compliance and management of security questionnaires.
- In-depth understanding of SOC 2 requirements and familiarity with compliance platforms.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly concerning documentation and compliance matters.
- Knowledge of audit processes, evidence gathering, and collaboration with external auditors to achieve compliance goals.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to foresee security and compliance needs and implement effective strategies.
Qualifications
- A degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in handling security questionnaires and managing audits is essential.
